Does anyone know why strawberry and kiwi’s are always paired together? Is it the sweet & sour/tart combo. Regardless, it’s definitely a winning combination.
This smoothie really highlights the sweet sour combination with a two toned beauty. You have to make each color separately though, unless you want a big brown smoothie bowl. (I know from experience.)

Kiwi Strawberry Spinach Smoothie
two toned smoothies taste better, right!
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 4 kiwis
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup non fat greek yogurt divided
- 3-5 fresh strawberries
Optional:
- milk as needed
Instructions
-
In a blender, food processor add the frozen strawberries and 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt. I did not need milk to thin out the mixture, but if yours seems to thick, add any type of milk. Set aside.
-
Wash out the blender, add the peeled kiwi, spinach and 1/4 cup of yogurt. Again, i did not need milk because the kiwi provides a bit of liquid, but if yours seems to thick add any type of milk.
-
Pour the green smoothie into a bowl. Add the red smoothie to one side of the bowl.
-
Add 1 kiwi and a couple of strawberries to the bowl to garnish.
Substitutions:
- Dairy-free: replace the Greek yogurt with your favorite dairy-free yogurt.
