  1. Peaches like most fruits and veggies are very low in calories
  2. Peaches are a good source of vitamin A, specifically beta carotene, the nutrient known to be essential for good vision.
  3. Peaches are also an excellent source of vitamin C, which helps fight free radicals which can damage cells.
  4. Peaches also contain potassium, a mineral that helps regulate your heart rate and lower blood pressure.

Storing

Slightly hard peaches can be kept at room temperature until they ripen. Storing peaches inside a paper bag speeds up the ripening process. Ripe peaches should be placed in the fridge.
